Featuring stunning oceanfront views, immersive projection, cinematic lighting, live music, and world-class production, Kaula delivers an experience unlike any other in Hawaiʻi.
Kaula is the Hawaiian word for “rope” or “cordage” — a metaphor for the bond that ties present generations to their ancestors.
Rather than presenting separate, disconnected Polynesian dance numbers, Kaula takes us on a journey through space, time and lineage. Written by acclaimed Native Hawaiian playwright and actor Moses Goods, Kaula shares the story of Mahina, a young Native Hawaiian woman, on a journey of self-discovery with her grandmother’s telling of their family history.
The resort encompasses 642 acres with sweeping ocean and mountain views and a string of jewel-like lagoons connected by more than a mile and a half of seaside pathways.
Ko Olina was part of the ahupuaʻa of Honouliuli in the moku of ʻEwa on the island of Oʻahu, its shoreline stretching twelve miles along the sunniest side of Oʻahu.

Your evening begins with a traditional lei greeting and live Hawaiian music. The buffet and cultural activities open as check-in begins.

You eat when you want at Kaula. Your table is never dismissed to queue — head over to the island buffet when you are hungry and take what you wish. It stays open until 15 minutes before the show.
